How it works (In Plain English)

You don't need to unplug messy cables or lug your computer to a shop. Give us a call, and we'll guide you to download a small, safe piece of software. This gives us a temporary secure code to connect to your computer.

Once connected, we can control your mouse and keyboard to fix the issue while you sit back, have a cup of tea, and watch it happen on your screen. When we're done, we disconnect, and we cannot get back in without your permission.

• Slow running computers & tune-ups

Computer Fixer was born from humble beginnings in Dumfries back in 2012. What started out small steadily grew into a dedicated workshop, and eventually, our very first shop on St Marys Street.

Thanks to the incredible support of the local community, we expanded into a bigger shop in early 2025, before finally restoring our operations back to our main HQ on Shakespeare Street.

While James's relocation means our doors are no longer open for physical repairs, our commitment to providing fast, fair, and affordable service remains exactly the same. We are extremely proud of our roots in Dumfries and Galloway, and we look forward to continuing to help you get the most out of your tech, right from the comfort of your own home.

Remote Support means we can support clients globally, as long as you have internet access!
